There are 285 million people worldwide who are suffering low vision. Among them, there are 39 million people who have completely lost their eyesight. Fortunately, the rest of the 246 million cases are treatable. The majority of them with a percentage of 90% live in poor countries.

Globally, refractive errors are considered as the number-one cause for low vision. Whereas, the cataract is main causer for blindness in poor countries.

A one cataract surgery costs 40KD and takes 15 minutes to finish only.
